Spring has sprung

Hello! We hope you all had a wonderful Easter. We had a great time at a hotel in county Cavan. There was lots for Max to do and we all had the perfect amount of fun and relaxation. Exactly what we had in mind.
Here are some pictures from the Botanical Gardens I went to a couple weeks ago. It was the perfect sunny day to stroll around.

I saw this recipe for bunny bread. It seemed fitting right before Easter. Now, this doesn't look much like the picture on the recipe, but when Kevin came home he recognized it was a bunny without any clues. I consider that a success.

Max got a haircut and built this awesome station.

Spider man showed up to help color the Easter eggs.

He's not even flexing!
Lucky for Max the Easter Bunny found us at the hotel.

"A-HA!"

Rule: you can only jump on beds at hotels.
 Found Wally!!!!
more bed jumping...I don't get to do it at home either!

St. Patty's Fun Fair

Max was THRILLED to find the face painters upon our arrival at the Fun Fair. He immediately transformed into a tiger.

Oscar, Conor and Max driving. Trouble!

Mazes in the park

Oscar, Max and Conor "listening" to the drum group.
I may have done a bit of bribing...but Max was so brave and he went on the big wheel with us! It was such a beautiful day to be up in the sky above the city.
The boys in the ferris wheel...the sun was right in their eyes.
View of the park and the sea in the distance

View from the way up-Dublin mountains

Max and I went back the following day. Unfortunately the bouce houses were not set up, but the face painters were still there. Max transformed into a lion cub.

He does the snarl face so well.
Annnnnd he is driving again. Happy guy and happy mom.
Kevin was out of town for work so we played and then played some more...and then made pizza!!

Dinner is served...don't mind the crazy hair. We had a big day.

St. Patrick's Day Parade and things

The Chariot at the beginning of the parade

St. Patrick made an appearance

The drug dog force...for you dad. Some German Shepherds and Malinois

One of the floats in the parade. None of them were pulled by vehicles, all pulled by people.

Max's favorite float was this giant fish

 The Notre Dame marching band!

 WOOO!

Fun day. Great parade and such great people watching!
After the parade we found some face painters and went to a pub for some craic. Max did some jigging and played a bit of Angry Birds.  After we left this pub the atmosphere in the city had really taken a turn and the crowds were not so sober...and it was not ideal for a little 3 year old. We asked Max what he wanted for dinner on St. Patrick's Day and his answer was BBQ ribs. So that is what we did. Had bbq ribs, Guinness, and chocolate milk and danced with the leprechauns into the night.
