The highlight of Max's days. Water fountains. Simple, refreshing, enjoyable.
The Trevi Fountain? What's that....Fontana di Maximus is where it's at!
Day 2, round 1: Kiwi and Passionfruit. SO GOOD
Est!!! Est!!! Est!!! The BEST wine that has ever touched my lips. I had said that about the wine the night before, but this changed everything. I still dream about it. In fact, everything we had to eat and drink, including the ambiance, was so good we returned the following night. We didn't intend to. We had actually walked quite a distance in the opposite direction and when it came time for dinner we just weren't stumbling across any place that really drew us in. We hiked it all the way back...and it was a hike, 2 huge hills on hungry/thirsty tummies! So worth it!
Anchovies...they have such a bad rep but actually are quite good.
Italy is an ideal place for kids. Pasta, pizza, and ice cream on every corner and in between. Although cold milk was really confusing to the Italians. Several places just didn't have milk, and the places that did we had to be sure we clarified that we wanted it cold...and then that was accompanied by confused looks every time.
