Gelato

Max and I set out on an Italian Job. A mission. A mission to have gelato every day...at least once. And we succeeded...lick by lick, cone by cone, the delicious frozen treat was consumed daily.
The first night we arrived in Rome, basically dropped off our luggage and headed to the delicious Pizzeria Barocco. It happened to be right next door to a Gelateria. Convenient!
Day one: Chocolate

House White. The BEST part about Rome was that every house wine we had was literally the HOUSE. From their vineyard...their name, and more often than not just came out in a pitcher! Il Barocco wine and Pizzeria Barocco!

First Italian Pizza

I will never forget the drive from the airport to our hotel in Rome. Our driver pointed out some of the sights, and this one in particular, just struck me with awe. This picture, as with most, does not do it justice. This structure was MASSIVE! I couldn't even believe it.

You can kind of tell how big the structures are based on the people standing there, but we were literally awestruck driving past this. It was a theme of our trip. Every sight, every landmark, every fountain we saw was just BIGGER and more spectacular than I expected. Larger than any photo had ever make things seem.
The Colosseum

This was such an amazing structure. To be there, inside of it, was incredible. I could have wandered and stared for hours. But instead, we did some action shots.

Day Two: Vanilla and Chocolate Chip
Ciao for now!
